Theonera Inc. Website Redesign

The Challenge:

dividerJohn Francis of Theonera Inc. needed a redesign of his current site. Theonera is a Human Resource service geared to medium sized companies. The old site was dated and copy-intensive. The use of stock photos detracted from the company’s personality and the site was not responsive–a must for today’s businesses. In addition, John’s blog was hosted outside of his main site which weakened his branding and reduced the site’s SEO.

Before:

Design. The site was dated and the use of small, stock photography did nothing to set Theonera apart from its competition.

Navigation. Too many links and too much text confused the message and led users down rabbit holes. The link to the blog was not easy to find.

Functionality. Non-responsive, the website could not be viewed efficiently on mobile devices. John Francis’ blog was hosted away from the main site which diluted the branding and made for a disjointed user experience.

AFTER:

Design. Theonera’s site was completely refreshed starting with a new colour scheme suggested by the client. A semi-abstract illustration was obtained and edited to demonstrate the many facets of Theonera. Using this original image as a launch point, custom illustrations were created to expand on the services offered.

Navigation. Menus were simplified and content paired down to make it easy to digest. Calls to action are bold and easy to find.

Functionality. A completely mobile-friendly site was built on the WordPress platform. The blog is now integrated within the site and the client can maintain it with ease.

“I worked with Maureen at Pixels and Prose and she was absolutely fantastic to work with. She took the time to understand my company’s requirements and delivered a finished product that was exceptional. I will recommend Pixels and Prose to everyone.”
