Common Ground Promotional Graphics

THE CHALLENGE:

Susan Magerman and her partner approached me to design promotional pieces for their grassroots production of Common Ground at the 2016 Toronto Fringe Festival. The play was about four strangers from diverse backgrounds who are held hostage in the stock room of a convenience store by a masked gunman. The graphics had to give a glimpse into the plot of the play but remain intriguing enough to hook the audience.

The Logo:

I presented two logo options that teased at the play’s themes. After choosing one, I took the concept through a poster, postcard and web banner graphics.

After deciding on a logo direction the artwork was carried through a poster, postcard and website banner graphics in both full colour and black and white.
