Pixels & Prose Branding and Website Design

THE CHALLENGE:

Pixels & Prose is a content creation and branding company co-founded by myself and Sherryll Sobie-Cooke, an award-winning writer/editor and photographer. Together we provide, one-stop, full-service custom content. We needed our branding to speak to all we do in a whimsical yet classy way. It had to show people that not only could they trust us to get the job done but they would have fun working with us too!

THE SOLUTION:

The Logo:

Combining two stylized letter p’s to create the dominant ampersand highlights the partnership of the two co-founders as well as the marriage of the written word with the visual elements. The vibrant orange and magenta were chosen for their femininity and vitality. The neutral grey with a pink undertone grounds the brand and adds a bit of class.

The Business Cards:

Rounded corner business cards were chosen to highlight the approachability of the founders. A close up of the ampersand provides a strong visual element which contrasts with the contact information on white. The back side of the card lists our services on a contrasting field of orange. Full service. Full stop.divider

Website:

A responsive WordPress website was designed and populated with expertly written case-studies and bold and stylish images. The breadth and depth of our work appears throughout the site in a clever narrative.

Trade Magazine Ad:divider

An ad was designed for SPIN Planners monthly digital trade magazine. It’s geared toward meeting and event industry planners in the U.S. This group is mainly women so we switched out the man’s suit used in our website for a crisp (almost) white blouse and geared the copy towards our target audience while arranging it to target the eye at key points throughout the ad.

Holiday Greetings:

Colour coordinated branded macarons were given to clients in honour of the holidays. Our beloved ampersand was used to create a branded holiday greeting that was sent electronically to our clients.
