About Maureen

What does toxicology have to do with graphic design and web development? Not a lot, except that I have graduated from post-secondary programs in all three disciplines. Toxicology came first, at the University of Toronto, but I quickly discovered that working in a lab simply didn’t cut it, creatively speaking. Graphic design from George Brown College came next, and while plugging away as a packaged goods designer stimulated my right brain, my left brain craved more exercise. Enter web development and design at Seneca College, the perfect blend of logic and art. Comfortable working both on screen and in print, I have developed sites for a range of clients from non-profit to retail, and have designed print collateral from business cards to brochures to newsletters.

An avid pub league trivia player (Did you know Mussolini, Napoleon, Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar all had an irrational fear of cats?). Great sense of humour, keen sense of style, but absolutely no sense of smell.

What Others Have to Say About Me…

Maureen is an amazing web and graphic designer! She is very easy to work with, has great creative design ideas, and always works quickly. She has designed my entire website (www.megandunn.ca) from scratch and is really good with updating the pages to keep it current. I plan to continue working with Maureen on many projects in the future!

Maureen communicates with visuals, rather than words. She has a knack for translating scattered ramblings about vision and service offerings and intent into a strong brand image that resonates with all who see it.

Maureen’s humour is evident in her design. It’s obvious that she loves her work, and that makes her a fun partner in the process. Our collateral has visual impact because of Maureen.

I had the pleasure of working with Maureen of Pixels & Prose this past year. Not only did she take my web-site to the next level, her level of professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding. But I think the best part was just how fun she was to work with!

In addition to having a tremendous eye for detail, a great sense of layout and a very creative use of available technology, Maureen has an outstanding work ethic and commitment to delivering high quality work on schedule. Her work for us at TPOMBA on the monthly Bulletwin magazine is consistently excellent, which is a testament to her dedication and professionalism. Thank you for all your efforts Maureen!
